Pamela & Paul

Pamela and Paul are getting married on Oct 10 at Fiddler’s Elbow.   I shot their photos in the Meatpacking.  Every time I go there, it is such a vibrant open urban space, that I find different details that make and enhance the photos.   It was also  interesting for me, having been there only two days ago with Ulrike and Jeppe, to compare my two sessions and see how another couple, with their own unique dynamic, help create different shots.

Paul and Pamela met two years ago in a bar and Paul fittingly proposed in the same place. Perhaps that romantic spirit is reflected a bit in the fun shots of the bar we took. We took a short rest there, and I love the shot of the relaxed and outstretched guy on the bench next to them, which provides
a humorous contrast to their snuggling.

While a cute, princess dog made her appearance in my last shoot, this time when I went to shoot near a graffiti wall, two cats decided to join in.  Paul was happy to pet them, but as you can see Pamela was a bit more wary ;). I love to incorporate animals into any photos that I can. They always imbue the shots with a special character. Of course, perhaps my enthusiasm comes from having three cats of my own (Picasso, Tiger and Pitzy-Mitzy). All three of them have been begging me to take their photos and upload them to my blog- which I promised soon – as long they stop sitting on my keyboard while I work on Photoshop :)
