Dana & Michael NYC Central Park Engagement Session

I had a wonderful e-session with Dana and Michael. Dana’s red-rose colored dress embodies the passion in her herself and her relationship, and adds a stand out touch of glamour that is not out of place with the backpacks, cyclists, and breakdancers that make up the varied fabric of our wonderful Central Park. Not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera- especially on a shoot that is meant to capture genuine glimpses of love and romance, but Dana and Mike let the moments flow free and effortlessly – they focused on each other and not on being photographed. I didn’t have to force the moment or conduct the poses the like Bernstein before the Philharmonic . I was just there with my camera, blended into the background as if I was just another person enjoying the park.

Indeed, Dana and Michael were both blessed with that ‘eyes only on each other’ bond from the beginning, having met on one of those summer Hamptons nights that seem to free the heart and open the mind to possibility. They met at swanky Georgica, where Dana first met and talked with Michael’s friends at the bar before Michael saw her across the room and took over the conversation. That conversation has not stopped since.

They will be married at the Pierre in September and I feel as excited as they are in anticipation of the date (well almost ;)
