Darcy & Jerry

Darcy and Jerry were married at the Hamilton Farm Golf Club on a historic country estate in Somerset County, New Jersey. Below is a sneak peak of some of their images.

I loved the carefully coordinated color schemes that seemed to flow at different points throughout the day; soft auburn, cream and pearl, transitioning to the beautiful satin blue of the invitation, bridesmaid dresses and a perfectly matched ribbon thoughtfully tied to accent the hanging candle. Those ethereal blues, which hint at the poetic and heavenly side of love, fit very well with the brick and lush greens of the grounds, that speak more to the solid foundation of a marriage. And I loved the guest seating cards pinned to some sod with appropriate golf tees.

Darcy and Jerry both work for Nemco Brokerage. Darcy had already been working for three years when Jerry joined. She must have been happy with the new recruit :) It took a few months before they started dating, and it must be fun for them to relive those early subtle glances and flirts, that no doubt had to be rather subtle and not too flirty, as they did not want to send the rumor mill at work into full swing. A nice advantage, I suppose, of dating someone from work is that you have already spent a good deal of time with eachother and can sense compatibility. Darcy told me that they had a number of fun dates at little NYC restaurants as well as a fair share of Central Park picnics, but there real first “date” was not until a Red Sox-Yankees game. Darcy confessed that they were both a bit nervous how their fast developing “office romance” would be perceived by their bosses, but to their relief, their firm is filled with wonderful people that gave them the understanding, and no doubt happy, go-ahead.
