Edera Jewelry is a luxurious collection of one-of-a-kind and limited edition handmade lace and textile jewelry. Specializing in wedding jewelry, artist Ivy Long crafts each piece by hand in her Vermont studio using old world lacemaking techniques. The designs blend rich silk and real metal threads with luscious gemstones, pearls and vintage crystals for a romantic and opulent effect
Every Edera Jewelry design starts with the tiniest of crochet hooks and spools of the finest silk or real metal threads–like those used in the rich embroidery and laces of the Renaissance and Rococo eras. These hard-to-find threads, which contain real 24k gold and silver, are imported from Europe and Japan. Ivy weaves them into intricate, often three-dimensional, lace motifs which she then embroiders with high quality gemstones, vintage crystals and beads, freshwater pearls, and real gold spangles. Everything is stitched, woven, and embroidered by hand and finished off with silver, vermeil, or 14k gold-filled findings.
